In the meantime, Saturday in New York

Ariaan Witteveen
And what a Saturday. Busy and enjoyable. New Yorkers knew how to find Governors Island better than on the other days. There were mostly Americans in the audience of the ‘guys’ performance I saw. Though they did laugh less than I did at the entertaining performance. And what a great day for SLeM.
Various other artists joined our performance. The ‘stije wand’ opened our show after Tuig’s  afternoon performance. Of course we’ve been open for a while but cutting a long ribbon playfully drew in 200 people at one time. We performed our tea ceremony and what happened?... Brigitte was mowed down by a little woman in a wheelchair.
The Americans can believe their eyes, Sytse Pruiksma van Laan played further away. The children especially enjoyed the big gong. There’s sun  and atmosphere. And Jacob and the cow of course.  Sytse performed together with a dancer at the end of the afternoon. Sytse was at one end, drumming and fluting, while the dancer in supple movements, varying from fast to slow, danced towards him. Jan Peter is coming Sunday, but we are allowed to call him Mr. Balkenende.  I’m curious.
Until later, until SLeM.
